Privacy Policy
EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 15, 2026
The short version
Pickle Cast is made by Rude Company LLC. The app does not collect personal information, does not require an account, and does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking. Everything the app records about your games stays on your device. The website keeps a name and email only if you choose to join the launch list. This policy covers the Pickle Cast app for iPhone and iPad and the picklecast.tv website.
What the app stores on your device
Pickle Cast saves your current match on your device: team names, the score, the serving order, the history of points, and the settings you choose such as game length and whether score calls are audible. This data is written to the app's private storage on your device only. It is never sent to Rude Company LLC or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes it.
Camera and local network
If you choose to use a phone or tablet as a court camera, the app asks for camera permission and local network permission. The camera image is streamed directly to your other nearby devices running Pickle Cast using peer-to-peer Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. This connection does not go through the internet and does not pass through any server operated by us. Rude Company LLC never receives your video. You can revoke either permission at any time in iOS Settings, and the camera feature simply stops working.
Accounts
The current version of Pickle Cast does not offer accounts. The Sign in screen lets you continue without one, and there is nothing to sign up for. If we add accounts in a future version, we will update this policy before that version ships and explain exactly what an account stores.
What we do not do
We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers, or usage statistics. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or crash reporting software. We do not sell or share personal data, because we do not have any.
The website
If you join the launch list on picklecast.tv, we store the name and email address you enter in a database hosted by Cloudflare (D1) so we can email you when Pickle Cast launches. We use it for that one purpose, we do not share or sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing the address below.
picklecast.tv is served by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes standard connection data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver and protect the site, under Cloudflare's own privacy policy. The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the fonts load. The site does not set cookies and does not use analytics.
Children
Pickle Cast is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone. Because the app stores nothing about the people who use it, there is no children's data for us to hold.
Your rights
The app holds no personal data about you, so everything it stores is under your control on your device. The only personal data we hold is a launch-list signup if you gave us one. Email us to see it, correct it, or delete it, and we will do so promptly.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts doing something new with data, such as accounts, cloud sync, or the camera pod, we will update this page and change the effective date before that feature reaches you. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
